Good to know: FAQ
Fair questions.
Straight answers.
Is it real sturgeon caviar, and where does it come from?
Yes. Every variety on our menu is sturgeon caviar from fish farms, not from the wild. Wild sturgeon is protected under CITES. The species of each variety is listed on the Caviar page.
What papers come with the caviar?
Every tin of sturgeon caviar in the EU carries a single-use CITES label: species code, whether the fish was farmed, country and year of origin, plant number and lot number. The label either seals the tin or shows that it has been opened, and it cannot be removed without tearing. Our tins stay sealed until we open them at your party.
How do you keep the caviar fresh at the event?
Fresh caviar is kept just above freezing, usually between −2 and +4 °C (the exact range is printed on the producer’s tin), and is never frozen. The tins travel to you chilled, we open them on site and serve on ice. Once opened, a tin is best finished within 24–48 hours.
How does payment work, and what if I cancel?
You pay the full price. If you cancel less than 7 days before the date, we keep 70% of the price, which covers the cost of the caviar, and hand the caviar over to you in sealed tins with the labels intact. The other 30% goes back to you. By paying, you accept these terms.
